Phases of infrastructure work to be announced soon
In four months, employees of Bell Canada will be moving into the company’s headquarters located in the northern tip; already a good number of people are wondering if the road work can accommodate increased vehicle traffic resulting from this. Verdun Borough is not worried about it; officials are in fact confident that deadlines will be met.
A timeframe for the work was prepared and then analysed by the directors of departments involved in the entire project. This schedule will be adjusted as and when new data is obtained. Officials believe they should be able to make a public announcement in the next few days and Mayor Claude Trudel committed to send the document to the Magazine for its next issue.

Among the changes being considered, there is a portion of the work that will be undertaken by other entities like the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated. It is known that the interchanges and other road re-structuring work have inter-connections with certain traffic hubs and that will entail very specific coordination between the parties. Some phases of the work must also be completed ahead of time because it will be difficult to implement them when the construction of major buildings is completed. By the same token, some construction work will have to be finished before some road works are completed. Moreover, the arrival of employees in Bell’s headquarters will be done in three or four phases, which should mitigate the impact on usual traffic conditions.

Whatever happens, all the details regarding road work should be obtained in the next few days and Le Magazinewill no doubt be eager to share these details with its readers.
