Proment goes ahead with construction of first tower of Le Vistal project
A few weeks after the official launching of Le Vistal project, almost half of the units in the first tower had already found buyers out of a total of about 156 units. That gave Proment Corporation the impetus to advance the construction work by six months.
The enthusiasm of the entire team looking after this innovative project was already high during its official launching a few months ago. The response from buyers therefore provided the impetus for the company to accelerate their plans. On Monday, November 27, representatives of the developers and the various workers involved in this project met on the construction site for the first digging of the soil.

Louis-Joseph Papineau, vice-president for development and construction of Proment Corporation did not hide his enormous satisfaction. "It's 30% more than we had forecast for this time of the year", he explained. "Seeing the interest of buyers for Le Vistal, we decided to begin the work today."
Responding to the needs of the market
Samuel Gewurz, president of Proment Corporation (Proment) did not spare any effort in becoming an avant-gardist in innovative approaches for projects being undertaken in L'Île-des-Soeurs.

Le Vistal is one such project and Mr. Gewurz seems to have gotten it right, one more time. With a sales volume of $140 million and a total of 320 condominiums, the two phases of the Le Vistal complex represent one of the most important ongoing condominium projects in Montreal.
In addition to being located on the border of the St. Lawrence River with an exceptional area, Le Vistal will be built based on the LEED certification - a huge challenge. This standard will allow owners to live in buildings that not only bring in exceptional air quality, but they will also be consuming almost 35% less of energy per unit, compared to the national energy standard for houses in Canada.

"The success of Le Vistal confirms that people are ready to invest in housing that preserves their value-added quality", Mr. Gewurz pointed out. "Our buyers told us that they were most of all attracted by the project itself, especially its architecture and location; they also discovered the ecological value of the Vistal and its numerous advantages. They know that they will live in apartments with superior energy capabilities which will always be valuable - and this has convinced them to buy."

Among the people who participated in the digging ceremony was Mr. Patrick Audet, one of the first buyers. Mr. Audet is a financial planner in the Caisse Desjardins of L'Île-des-Soeurs. He currently resides in Verdun. Well aware of the housing market in L'Île-des-Soeurs, he was attracted by the concept of Le Vistal and therefore decided to settle there. He was overjoyed to hear that the construction started earlier than planned.

For Le Vistal, Proment chose an architectural style that is modern, promoting good lighting through large windows. The apartments offer various styles and arrangements, with floor areas ranging from 675 to 2,500 square feet.
