Young and old enjoyed the expo.
At the École primaire Ile des sœurs
Expo-Science 2007 was a resounding success
Despite the terrible weather and major traffic jams, hundreds of people still managed to visit Expo-Sciences 2007, at École primaire Ile des sœurs, on Thurdsay, April 12.
The 98 participants had prepared booths on four very interesting themes: biology, natural phenomena, technology and the fragile ties between humans and nature. This event was entirely financed by the Fondation de l'École primaire Ile des sœurs.
As is the tradition, the winners were determined in four categories.
The school's assistant principal, Francine Goyette, thanked all the parents who helped organize the evening: Natalie Chevrier, Gilles Desjardins and France Caron. Mr. Desjardins has been involved in the expo's organization for the past six years, while Mrs. Caron has been involved for eight and will miss it when her children graduate from elementary this coming June. She hopes that other parents will step up and continue this wonderful Island tradition.
