Here's an example of one of the units up for sale.
Developers Raymond Allard and Sylvain Ménard honoured
Two developers, who are very involved in residential construction, were named "Business Personalities" for the month of April, by the Fondation de développement local de Verdun. Raymond Allard and Sylvian Ménard are two associates in the Symphonia project, which is a joint venture with Westcliff, on the southern sector of L'Ile-des-Soeurs.
The two developers have been working on residential projects for the past 20 years and have been highly involved in the Island's residential development, since 2001. Raymond is the president of Habitations Raymond Allard while Sylvain heads Habitations Sylvain Ménard. Together, they have collaborated on a total of nine projects in the greater Montreal region. They have recently started work on a 1,200-unit residential construction in the southern part of the Island, along the golf course presently under construction.
Prestigious environment
Along the waterfront and adjacent to the ecological golf course, the Symphonia project certainly won't lack in prestige. The developers are taking advantage of the exceptional area, ensuring that more than 50% of the construction site will be low density construction and focusing on landscaping, where visitors and residents will be greeted at the entrance with a fountain.
The first phase has already commenced with about sixty units and a variety of residential homes (detached, semi-detached, townhouses, etc) being created. If all goes well, the project should be completed by the end of 2010 and then the developers will move on to medium and high density construction. The developers have also concluded an agreement with the Masterpiece Company, soon to be building a high quality residence for retired and semi-retired seniors.

Raymond Allard confirms that extensive studies have been conducted to ensure that prospective buyers find what they're looking for here on the Island and construction is taking place with exclusivity and quiet as the number one priorities.

In most cases, construction of the homes will take place on the side opposed to the river, so as to increase visibility on the water and maintain access to the parks and public trails. Many streets will be one-way streets and zig zag a bit to reduce driving speed. Developers also have plans to plant 950 trees in this new section.
