Activities at the Physergo tent come to an end
The rumour that's been circulating for months now has finally been confirmed: there will be no more cultural events at the Chapiteau Physergo, near the Natatorium.
Asked to comment on the decision, mayor Claude Trudel made it very clear that it had nothing to do with a conflict with Dr. Roger Cadieux, who has been the biggest supporter of these activities, since the very beginning.
Numerous factors motivated the decision taken by the borough and it was the total sum of these factors that led to this decision. Among the reasons mentioned by mayor Trudel, were conflicts with the schedule of activities organized by Dr. Cadieux and those by the borough. Some adjacent installations were also contrary to regulations and it was very difficult for those in charge of these activities to conform to the required bylaws.
Mr. Trudel gave a myriad of reasons for the cancellation of activities at the Chapiteau Physergo, but wanted to emphasize that it had nothing to do with a conflict between Dr. Cadieux and the borough.
In a future issue, Le Magazine will offer more details on this news and will attempt to get Dr. Cadieux's comments as well.
