Singer-songwriter, Mara Tremblay, will bring a high energy show to the Elgar Centre, on Feb. 2.
Mara Tremblay in concert on February 2
At the Elgar Centre
A change has been made to the Explorationseries of concerts presented by the Verdun borough. The show that was scheduled for February 2, 2007 was cancelled due to matters beyond the borough’s control.
To make up for it, the borough will be bringing you singer-songwriter-composer Mara Tremblay. The show starts at 8 p.m., Friday February 2nd at the Elgar Centre (260, Elgar).
Mara will be performing songs from her newest album «Les nouvelles lunes», which earned her three nominations at the Gala de l’ADISQ in 2005 (songwriter-composer of the year, female singer of the year and folk album of the year).
You can also expect songs from her two previous award-winning albums. If you’re not familiar with her music take note that she plays the guitar, violon and mandolin. She’s also a former member of the Colocs and the Frères à Ch’val. In her first solo tour she offers you a high energy show filled with beautiful artistic moments.
Tickets are on sale right now for only $5 and are being sold at Centre communautaire Elgar (260, Elgar), Centre communautaire Marcel-Giroux (4501, Bannantyne), Centre culturel de Verdun (5955, Bannantyne) and at Bureau Accès (4555, rue de Verdun). For more details, you can call 514-765-7150.
